A balcony in the town of Laatzen, Lower Saxony, was showing definite signs of ageing and ALSAN® PMMA was the product chosen for its refurbishment. This flexible liquid waterproofing system makes it possible not only to install reliable waterproofing in record time, but also offers plenty of design options.
The work involved first priming the existing tiled floor with ALSAN® 170 concrete primer for absorbent substrates.
Then a layer of ALSAN® 770 waterproofing resin was applied with an embedded fleece. The floor/wall junctions were coated with ALSAN® 770 TX for upstands and edges.
After ALSAN® 870 RS had been applied as the wearing and protective layer, the surface was topped with decorative chips and sealed with ALSAN® 970 F finish in RAL 7012.
The crowning glory is of course the palm-tree island stencilled onto the surface with Finish in RAL 9016.
All ready for the summer and perfect for a staycation!
